On this day in 1970 Japanse serial and con man, Akira Nishiguchi was executed. The illusive Nishiguchi was arrested in 1963 and convinced authorities he was only a scammer to divert from them finding out about his murders. Days after being freed, fingerprints matched Nishiguchi to multiple murders. In the weeks that followed he went on a killing spree murdering 5 people. He was eventually recognized posing as a lawyer by an 11-year-old girl, he was arrested and sentenced to death.
