JOHN McAVOY
Managing Director – Eyeworks Australia
John McAvoy is the Managing Director Of Eyeworks Australia and the creator of Kings Cross ER: St Vincent’s Hospital. Prior to joining Eyeworks in March 2010, John worked for the Nine Network for 18 years. Starting in 1991 as a researcher on the Today Show, his career there saw him produce all genres of shows including factual, studio-based entertainment and lifestyle. Throughout the nineties, he worked as a senior producer on A Current Affair and This Is Your Life before he joined Sixty Minutes in 2001 as Senior Producer. In 2004, John was appointed Executive Producer of A Current Affair before taking up the position as Head of Factual Programming in 2005. In this time, as well as being the executive responsible for overseeing a raft of Network programmes such as Getaway, RPA, The Gift and Backyard Blitz to name a few, he was also instrumental in the development and launch of numerous other successful shows including Missing Persons Unit, 20 to 1 and Domestic Blitz. Now at Eyeworks Australia, he is responsible for the creation and development of new ideas for broadcast both in Australia and internationally, as well as the commissioning of existing formats within the Eyeworks International group. John’s most recent FOXTEL productions include Kalgoorlie Cops, Territory Cops and the first series of Kings Cross ER all of which aired on Crime & Investigation Network. Kings Cross ER Series 1 is, to date, the highest-rating factual program in subscription television history.
CLAIRE HAYWOOD

Claire has enjoyed an extensive and varied career in film and television as a writer, director and producer. She started out in drama, working as a writer/storyliner on projects for Columbia Tristar, Southern Star and Matt Carroll Films. Her show credits include several episodes of McLeods Daughters and The Comedy Sale. Her factual writing and post-producing credits include World's Deadliest Roads, The Force, The Suspects, ICU, Housecalls to the Rescue, Auction Squad, 20 -1 and the CI Network’s hit series Kalgoorlie Cops. For the past year she has been a Series Producer for Eyeworks Australia. Her credits include Being Lara Bingle and CI Network’s Kings Cross ER Series 1 and Territory Cops.
MARTIN BAKER

Over the past 20 years Martin Baker has produced and directed over 100 hours of television for networks in Australia and internationally. Specialising in documentary films and factual television, Martin has produced some of Australia's most iconic television series including the multi-award winning Bondi Rescue, of which he is senior producer. He is no stranger to hospital environments having spent many years producing and directing highly acclaimed medical ob-doc series such as Saving Babies, the Ultimate Donation, Saving Kids, Dead Tired and Last Chance Surgery. Martin's accolades include several Logies and a Gold ProMax award.
JAMES PEYTON
Shooter / Director
James is a freelance television director, camera operator and scriptwriter, having produced over 350 hours ranging from magazine, reality, news and documentary formats. Starting in the days of 'Burke's Backyard', James has gone on to work on factual programs such as Fire 000, Outback Wildlife Rescue, Recruits Police & Paramedics, Best Job in the World, RBT and RSPCA Animal Rescue. With skills such as investigative research, field-production and camera operation in hostile, remote and often difficult and challenging environments, James brings a wealth of technical experience to making 'real-life' TV. James combines these skills with empathy and trustworthiness so as to create thought provoking and must-see stories about the lives of extraordinary, everyday people.
