Mark and John
It was an internet fantasy turned real and one of the most unusual
cases to be heard in a British court. Mark and John met in an internet
chat room, where John created a number of fictional characters,
including a woman who worked for the British secret service, to lure
Mark into a plot to murder him. Mark went through with the plan and
stabbed John, who survived the attack. Both boys were sentenced to
supervision orders and banned from making contact with one another.
